Dory fillet, also known as Basa fillet (for US market) comes from the Pangasius fish. For Malaysian, it is ikan patin (river catfish). There are generally 3 grades of dory fillet (quality and taste), the better grade of dory fillet is creamy and slightly pinkish in appearance. A 6-ounce serving of Dory fish contains 154 calories, 35 grams of protein, and only 1.2 grams of fat, none of it saturated fat. It contains a moderate amount of omega-3 fatty acids, the heart-healthy fish oil.
